Far Beyond the near

Far Beyond the Near

Strophe 1
As we gaze into the distant skies,
Searching for meaning in the great unknown,
We overlook the treasures that arise,
Right beneath our feet, where beauty is sown.

As we stoke the atmosphere, its heat intensifies,
Neglecting the solution before our very eyes,
Do we truly need a deity to hear our cries,
When the power to mend lies within our ties?

Chorus
And we call out
into the void
asymptotic silence,
a shimmer of hope.

In a sea
of nothingness,
is this what some call God,
or was it merely dreamt up?

Trillions of stars,
all out of reach,
but the one beneath which we reside,
devours us with its warming reach.

Like mold
in sterility's grip,
we search for meaning,
in a realm where life's anomaly takes shape.

Bridge 1
What fills the void where emptiness presides?
What is meant to dwell in vacuity?
There is no absence in the void, only our presence to behold,
a meaning shaped by none but ourselves.

In the realm of eternity, time fades to naught,
In the boundless void, presence becomes mere thought.
As our demise draws near, what meaning is sought,
If we can no longer ascribe significance to aught?

Strophe 2:
Surfing on a frail orb of stone through the void's vast abyss,
Enduring the whims of intentionless chance
On this fragile vessel we call home,
Through the emptiness we roam, all alone.
Of infinity we catch but a fleeting glance.
Lost in the cosmic dance,
our existence is remiss
Seeking our place in the stars,
our destiny amiss.

Bridge 2:
But whilst we gaze into infinity
tethered to this planet's grasp,
a fascination ought to be
to cherish what this world does clasp

Strophe 3:
In the realm of eternity, time fades to naught,
In the boundless void, presence becomes mere thought.
As our demise draws near, what meaning is sought,
If we can no longer ascribe significance to aught?

Somber Enlightement

Somber Enlightenment
Strophe 1:
It's hard to stay in line
hatred blurs my sight unwilling to believe what's just told to deceive Refrain: Clinging to what seems to be the last straw this so called sanity with sheer determination and frantic tranquility Strophe 2 (double speed): constantly balancing the reasons whether to stay on the predetermined path or succumb to this madness nurtured by reason, yet also wrath Do i want to feign a blindness to quietly swallow the lies and fake this hostile kindness that I so thoroughly despise Refrain: Am I afraid of social repression Or just too weak to decide to trade this caging mellow comfort with the burden of clear sight Emergence of the self-imposed immaturity always comes with a price will I be willing to pay it or continue with this strife? Outro: Enlightenment comes at great cost when one is not used to souvereignity which is the true insanity to bury freedom in serenity :||
